The collection consists of papers of Walter L. Moore from ca. 1937-1965. The papers include correspondence, sermons by Moore, scripts for sermons delivered on the radio, sermon notes and suggestions, devotionals or prayers written by Moore, printed material, and typescript articles (1948-1951) written by Moore for the "Daily Meditations in the Quiet Hour" column in the Christian Herald magazine. The materials document Moore's activities as a minister at the First Baptist Church (Meridian, Miss.) and the Vineville Baptist Church (Macon, Ga.), his activities with the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist World Alliance, and Moore's involvement with missionary work in Havana (Cuba).
